The RDMC (Remote Desktop Management Centre) Enterprise Management is an integrated software solution facilitating complete lifecycle management of Microsoft Windows based IT infrastructure. The RDMC Enterprise Management solution provides the ability for organisations to effectively inventory, deploy, manage, and support IT environments from a central location, without the need for a dedicated server infrastructure or high-speed network links. RDMC is easily deployed and intuitive to both manage and maintain.
What components are included in the RDMC suite?
The heart of the RDMC Product is the RDMC Console, providing the ability to locate and inventory connected IT assets, deploy software, monitor devices, and simplify management of Microsoft Active Directory environments. Featuring a lightweight client is a light-weight service, enabling and enhancing some of the more advanced computer functions. RDMC-RX provides integrated remote control capabilities, while the Exchange Server Monitor keeps track of the status of your Microsoft Exchange server. The RDMC SQL Importer and Reporting Systems extensions allow for detailed web-based reports accessible from any internet enabled workstation.
How is RDMC deployed?
The RDMC Console can be installed on almost any PC, and after the creation of a simple windows compatible file-share (distribution point), can immediately be used to provide device inventory, monitoring, and a variety of vital support functions such as Wake-on-LAN and Domain/AD management. Once the RDMC console has been used to push the client package to remote workstations, the remainder of the console’s functionality, such as software deployment, device backup, and remote-control can be used. The RDMC console can automatically and silently update the client software, as new versions become available.
What kind of server hardware is needed?
RDMC does not require any sort of server backend, or dedicated server hardware. Software packages and site information are stored in a Distribution Point - a Windows compatible file share which can be located on any server or workstation. It is even possible for both the console and distribution point to be located on a single workstation in your environment.
What size environment does RDMC support?
RDMC is an effective total management solution managing a few workstations at a single site, to thousands of workstations across multiple sites.
What impact will RDMC have on my network?
RDMC is network friendly, requiring very little network bandwidth to run. It can be used over any link regardless of speed, including high-latency satellite, and even dial-up connections. The RDMC console will automatically assign clients to use their nearest distribution point, ensuring that network intensive functions will not be performed over slow or long-distance links unless desired.
