What is RDMC-RX? RDMC-RX is a light-weight enterprise remote control tool. RDMC-RX simplifies the process of deploying and controlling VNC – the world’s most popular and widely supported open-source remote control package. With RDMC-RX, it is possible for support staff to remotely install the VNC client on any PC running Windows NT 4.0 or higher, as long as they possess a valid administrator password. Who would use RDMC-RX?RDMC-RX can be used by I.T. support staff to simplify the process of diagnosing and fixing problems on a remote PC, by allowing them to see screen output in real time, and take control of the keyboard and mouse if required. How does RDMC-RX work?To gain remote control of a PC, support staff need only supply the name of the target machine, a valid administrative username and password, and click connect. RDMC-RX will contact the remote PC, install or upgrade the VNC client if needed, and start the remote control session. The application is able to detect and repair any problems with the VNC installation, and can also fully remove the VNC client if required. Where can RDMC-RX be used? The application can be deployed and used in almost any environment. It is bandwidth friendly, and can be used over local-area networks, wide area networks, satellite, and even dial-up links. RDMC-RX actively monitors the speed of the link, and will automatically adjust the quality of the video to best use the space available. How is it licensed?Since RDMC-RX utilises an open source client, there are no royalties or client license fees. A single copy of RDMC-RX can be used to deploy to and control an unlimited number of client workstations. Once the VNC client has been deployed, it can be accessed by any compatible VNC viewer running on Windows, Unix, Mac-OS, or even PocketPC.
