The 2008 West Australian Information Technology and Technology Awards (WAITTA) anounced that our SOE Framework product has made it to the finals along with four other competing products under the innovation category. The SOE Framework was submitted for contention in late 2008 and SOESoft was very proud to be announced as a finalist. From the 29th January to the 4th of Feb finalists will be performing a thirty minute demonstration followed by ten minutes of question time. Development and maintenance of an SOE (Standard Operating Environment) have long been considered complex, time consuming and highly specialised tasks. However the benefits of standardisation applied to the software used by organisations of more than just a few people have also been recognised as, potentially, the greatest contributors to reducing the costs of support and the incidence of problems among computer users.
 
Availability of the SOE Framework takes creation and ongoing management of an SOE to a new level, allowing you to create a complete, deployable SOE from a library of packaged applications in a few minutes.  Common tasks associated with creating, deploying and maintaining an SOE are included in the SOE Framework and the user is prompted for appropriate information, where required.
